Description: RCREEE on behalf of private wind energy project developers and in cooperation with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) initiated “Active Turbine Management Program” (ATMP). The program aims to determine the optimum wind turbines operations periods during the heavy bird migratory seasons (spring and autumn) during pre-, under-, and post-construction of wind farms. This can be reached by developing, managing and implementing Collective Ornithological Migratory and Shutdown-on-Demand Programs via assigning one or more bird migration & SOD consultants to determine wind turbine shutdowns for each wind farm during bird migration seasons.
