Description: The Federal Government of Ethiopia has received a credit toward the cost of Ethiopian Electrification Program (ELEAP) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments for (1) On grid electrification (2) Off- grid service provisioning and (3) sector capacity and institutional reforms. The off - Grid service provisioning includes installation of Mini-grids piloting in 12 towns/villages and scale-up the connection to more than 250 towns/villages throughout the country with the involvement of IPP’s.
